Miley Cyrus 'Wrecking Ball' Video Released, Shock Waves Continue

Miley Cyrus continues to shock fans with the release of her latest music video "Wrecking Ball" just two weeks after her bawdy performance at MTV's VMAs.

In the brand-new clip released Monday, 20-year-old Cyrus it seen perched on a wrecking ball within a room that appears to be under construction.

While the video for the ballad begins with a close-up of the singer with minimal makeup on, the camera pans out in the next scene, revealing a completely nude Cyrus clad in only combat boots.

Later on, the former Disney star dons a tank top and underwear while operating a sledgehammer on slabs of concrete within the construction site.

"All I wanted was to break your walls / All you ever did was wreck me," Cyrus sings in "Wrecking Ball."

Terry Richardson directed the music video. Watch it on Vevo here. WARNING: explicit content.

"Wrecking Ball" is Cyrus' latest single off of her upcoming album, "Bangerz," in stores Oct. 8.

Meanwhile, it is speculated that Cyrus' raucous VMAs performance alongside Robin Thicke on Aug. 25 cost her the cover of Vogue magazine's December edition.

Anna Wintour, the famed editor at the prominent fashion magazine, cut the singer in order to avoid the controversy that accompanied Cyrus' sexualized dance routine and skimpy attire at the awards ceremony.

"Anna found the whole thing distasteful," an insider told HollywoodNewsDaily. "She decided, based on Miley's performance, to take the cover in a different direction."

Furthermore, Cyrus' VMAs performance continues to invite negative press, threatening the singer and actress' once bright future in the entertainment industry.

However, the "We Can't Stop" singer is dismissing the criticism, and even referred to her VMA's performance as history making.

"Me and Robin [Thicke] the whole time said, 'You know, were about to make history right now,'" Cyrus recounted while speaking to MTV following the VMA's. "I don't pay attention to the negative because I've seen this play out so many times. Madonna's done it. Britney's done it. Every VMA performance, that's what you're looking for; you're wanting to make history."
