Milla Jovovich Blasts Summit Entertainment for Ignoring 'Three Musketeers'
Actress Milla Jovovich has said the entertainment company, which produced the movie, is sabotaging her new movie, “The Three Musketeers."
She accused Summit Entertainment of "sweeping [Musketeers] under the rug" and said they have failed to properly promote the movie.
The star posted on Twitter this morning, "I think 'summit' hve swept '3 Musketeers', a grt family adventure film, under the rug in the US. Shame on them. SHAME ON YOU 'SUMMIT.'"
Jovovich continued her campaign against the movie company and suggested the they only cared about "Twilight," another movie under their company.
She took to Twitter again and posted, "Are 'summit' promoting it as a family adventure movie? Or are they resting on their laurels from 'twilight' n making no effort? Let me know!”
"The Three Musketeers" stars Orlando Bloom, Logan Lerman, Matthew Macfadyen, and Ray Stevenson in addition to Jovovich.
The actress of Russian decent, came to fame in the late 80s/early 90s as an actress and model with her breakthrough film being the "Return to the Blue Lagoon."
Currently she stars in the action packed franchise of movies "Resident Evil" and plays the lead character Alice as she mows down hordes of zombies in a post apocalyptic world based on a video game.
She has modeled for the covers of Face, Vogue, and Cosmopolitan. She has also been involved in campaigns for Banana Republic, Christian Dior, Gap, Versace, Calvin Klein, DKNY, Coach, Revlon, and H&M.
In 1992 she was nominated for Young Artist Best Young Actress for "Return to the Blue Lagoon."
In 1997 she was nominated for the Saturn Best Supporting Actress award, the Blockbuster Entertainment Favorite Newcomer award, and the MTV Movie Best Fight Scene award for "The Fifth Element," where she starred alongside Bruce Willis and Chris Tucker.
She received another Saturn nomination for "Resident Evil" in 2002 and Resident Evil: Extinction" in 2008.
The action star was married to director Paul W. S. Anderson in August 2009.
