'Minecraft Halloween Mashup' Contains 43 Skins, Snapshot 15w43b Released

Fans of the sandbox independent video game "Minecraft" are in for a treat as the game is getting a new pack in celebration for the upcoming Halloween. According to PlayStation Lifestyle, developers Mojang and 4J Studios are going to roll out the "Minecraft Halloween Mashup" pack starting Friday, Oct. 23. It will be made available for all console platforms and that includes the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The pack will be sold for $3.99.

The impending pack promises to bring tons of spooky fun as it contains 43 skins that will really bring an old-school Halloween vibe to the game. Players can expect to see costumes of famous scary icons like the Grim reaper, Wicked Witch, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Mad Doctor, Tree Face and a lot more. There's a good news though. Mojang revealed that some of the skins will be free for download once it arrives.

Mojang also announced in their site that a creepy texture pack will be available for players to apply to other Minecraft worlds as well as an entire world that is particularly designed to bring some scare. Ghostly music will also be included to set that eerie Halloween tone.

And for those who are not playing "Minecraft" on any of the console platforms, the team behind the game has prepared something for them as well. As noted in the site, Pocket Edition or Windows 10 Beta players will also get something special to celebrate Halloween. More details about it have still to be released.

Aside from the pack, Mojang also made an update by releasing the snapshot 15w43b for the game. According to the official website, the newest snapshot made some fixes with the crashes and introduced a new feature which is subtitles. Changes include a new structure in the world, a new "loot table" concept, an improved debug menu and an increase in the amount of strongholds.
