Minecraft PS4 and Xbox One News: New Patches Announced, 1.6 'Horse' Update Coming Soon
4J Studios has announced that new patches for Minecraft Playstation 4 and Xbox One are coming soon to fix bugs in the game, which were discovered since the next-gen console versions were released in September. Aside from fixing bugs, it also adds a "Copy-Save" feature so that players can duplicate their world.
The game developer made the announcement via Twitter on Thursday, Oct. 2. Two tweets revealed what 4J was up to, as the company wrote on their official Twitter page, "There's a bug fix update for @MinecraftXbox1 in test at the moment," which was followed shortly by a post which read, "There's a bug fix update for #MinecraftPS4 in test at the moment."

• Fix for tile entities not being saved correctly in unloaded chunks (Empty Chests, Spawners turning into Pig Spawners, etc.)
• Change to 'disable saving' setting so that it remains set for a specific save when reloading that save
• Fix for Glass Blocks placed next to each other rendering incorrectly
• Fix for missing chunks in Superflat world on host console
• Fixed an issue with mob spawning rates.
• Fixed issue with mobs still being aggressive while player is invisible (using Potion)
• Fix for players riding Boats/Minecarts sometimes being invisible to remote players
• Added a 'Copy Save' option to allow people to back-up their world to another save.
Aside from that, 4J Studios have revealed that work has now started on bringing the Minecraft PS4 1.6 update and Minecraft Xbox One 1.6 update to gamers at a later date. Patch 1.6 is known as the "Horse" update, and it introduced horses, donkeys, and mules to the game and players could tame and ride these animals.
However, it could take some time before the update is finished as 4J is still reportedly working on the Vita version of the game.
