The Minnesota Timberwolves will try to win their first back-to-back games since February when they visit the Staples Center to face the Los Angeles Clippers.

Kevin Martin led the team in scoring with 29 points, while Gary Neal scored 27 while shooting an impressive 8-of-11 from the field. Ricky Rubio almost completed a triple-double after scoring 13 points, dishing out 15 assists and had eight rebounds.

Veteran Kevin Garnett played another morale-boosting role in the match, playing 21 minutes while scoring four points and grabbing six boards.

The Clippers are on a two-game losing skid following losses to the Trail Blazers and the Golden State Warriors. In the 106-98 loss to the Warriors, Chris Paul had 14 points, five rebounds and 11 assists, but only shot 41 percent from the field. Austin Rivers had a great game despite the loss, scoring 22 points while shooting 57 percent from the field.

The Clippers struggled from beyond the arc, going only 8-of-25 from three point range, while allowing the Warriors to score 10-of-22 from outside. Following the loss, the Clippers now drop to a 40-23 record, and go two games behind the Blazers for fourth in the league.

The two teams have met twice this season, with the Clippers winning on both occasions. Their most recent meeting ended in a 110-105 win for L.A.

In that contest, DeAndre Jordan and Chris Paul had double-doubles, with Jordan scoring 12 points and pulling down 18 rebounds, while Paul scored 26 and dished out 14 assists.

Rubio and Gorgui Dieng also secured double-doubles in the losing effort, with the Spaniard scoring 18 and assisted in 11 shots, while Dieng had 10 points and 11 rebounds.
