Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton Slam Pregnancy Rumors

Miranda Lambert and her husband Blake Shelton have slammed pregnancy rumors after posting a series of funny tweets this week.

While using comedy, the couple each adamantly denied rumors of their starting a family just yet.

"Wow! I just read the headline," Lambert posted to her Twitter account. "'We are having a baby' yay! @BlakeShelton we're getting a new puppy?"

"Don't believe everything you read," the singer later added. "I'm having a 'randarita' right now in honor of the baby we are not yet having! #SorryFolksParksClosed"

Meanwhile, Shelton had also taken to Twitter acknowledging the rumors that he was to become a father.

The 36-year-old singer replied with confusion to one follower who wished him congratulations, writing, "Cheers, it's Christmas."

"The Voice" coach also addressed one who had asked if Lambert was pregnant, posting, "I hope not… She's passed out with a bottle of Bacardi in her hands!"

"Look, I know I've gained some weight but the test was negative," he continued to joke.

The country music super couple married in 2011, but revealed that they are not planning on starting a family any time soon.

"I don't plan on having [children] for a while," said Lambert, 29, speaking to People magazine. "To me, my dogs are my children."

The "Gunpowder and Lead" singer has adopted six rescue dogs and describes them as "grateful and the love they give you is like nothing else," according to the magazine.

"I can give the biggest show of my life, and my dogs don't give a d---," the Texas-born singer added. "They just care about their mom."

In the meantime, Lambert and Shelton are looking forward to spending the holidays together.

"We're going home for Thanksgiving," said Lambert, according to People magazine. "We'll have four days there, and again for Christmas. We never see each other, so we cherish every moment together."

Although they are not expecting, Lambert and Shelton continue very prolific careers in music. They each swept the CMA's earlier this month, earning Female Vocalist of the Year and Entertainer of the Year, respectively.
