Miss Universe 2015 News: Pia Wurtzbach Finally Confirms Dating Dr. Mike, Plans to Put Him though Difficulties before Giving Him Her 'Yes'
After only hinting that she was going out with a certain someone without naming names, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach has finally confirmed she is dating is Russian-born doctor Mikhail Varshavski, more popularly known as Dr. Mike.
"I've dodged this question for a lot of interviews for you. Because you're the only one I trust with these things," she told multi-awarded and popular Filipino TV host Boy Abunda on his late-night talk show "Tonight with Boy Abunda."
However, the confirmation did not really come as a surprise as Dr. Mike already confirmed in the past that he is, indeed, dating Wurtzbach after several photos of them together that they themselves uploaded on their respective social media accounts sparked rumors that they were heading into something romantic.
Wurtzbach revealed that she hasn't professed her true feelings to the celebrity doctor, joking that she wants to put him through some difficulties first. She also joked that the doctor should verbalize the three romantic words first before coming at a decision on what to do: accept or reject him.
The most-controversial Miss Universe winner also shared that she explained to the doctor how things are in her home country in terms of courtship, even asking him if he knows what courtship means.
"He's adjusting to the Filipino ways a lot because it's very different, the culture is very different. I had to explain to him how it is in the Philippines…," Wurtzbach revealed.
The international Filipina beauty queen also hinted that the dating stage is already marred with some glitches as she is not as sweet and passionate as many Filipinas are known to be.
"This is where we have a problem because I'm not too affectionate. Maybe most Filipinas are, but I'm not. Isn't that a nice thing?" she said in Filipino.
Wurtzbach is currently in the Philippines to crown her successor for the Bb. Pilipinas 2016 (literally translates as Miss Philippines) on Sunday as the organization that opened doors of opportunities for her is in search for a new set of girls to be crowned and sent to various international beauty contests, including Miss Universe.
