'MLB The Show 16' Suffers Online Issues, Devs Apologizes and Offers Digital Goodies
Sony San Diego's baseball video game "MLB The Show 16" faced some bumps along the way since its launch after players complained that the game has some severe server issues which made some of the game completely unavailable. According to a report by Game Spot, Sony has already responded to the problem and has issued a public apology.
As written in The Show Nation community forums: "We apologize that the excitement of launch and the start of the season has been soured by these issues. Our team is taking every step necessary and working around the clock to stabilize our online servers as soon as possible."
And to make up for the hassle induced, the development team announced that they will be releasing a free DLC. Polygon detailed that Sony has started sending out the free content to those who played "MLB 16" while connected to the PlayStation Network on April 8. It contained 10 standard packs of Diamond Dynasty cars and 5,000 Stubs which is the game's in-game currency. In regular rate, the entire amount of content is worth $15. They will be available by April 12 and gamers are advised to open it right away once it hits the platform on that day.

Sony has also released already the update patch 1.02 which is purposefully made to address some of the issues that the game received. Attack of the Fanboy noted that the patch notes have been released already via the official forums of the game. Gamers can expect some improvements with regards to the online gameplay like no more pickoff state when a pitch is up in the air or when a ball is in play.
Soft lock or freezing problems have been fixed already as well. It will now longer be present during a timeout or when trying to access Pitcher Attributes. Stubs are also now available for accounts in PS EU territories. Also, the "Challenge failed" issue on PS4 has been addressed already.
