'MLB The Show 17' Gameplay News: Player Choices and Interactions Will Matter More in the 'Road To The Show' Mode
Revamped 'Road To The Show' mode will take 'MLB The Show 17' players inside locker rooms and managers' offices
"MLB The Show 17" will feature an updated "Road To The Show" mode that along with asking players to excel on the field, it will also require them to make some important decisions as they work their way up from the Minor Leagues to the Majors.
This means that players looking forward to trying out this single-player mode will now need to prepare themselves in more ways than what was asked of them previously.
According to a recent post on the PlayStation blog, there will be certain instances in the "Road To The Show" mode wherein players will be interacting with other important characters such as their coaches, managers and even people outside of the organization.
During these interactions, players will be presented with some choices and the ones they choose will help determine what kind of career they may eventually have.
For example, a recently published video that shines a spotlight on "MLB The Show 17's" "Road To The Show" mode even features a part where the player is asked about potentially changing positions, and the decision made there could impact when the controlled character makes it to the Majors or even what position he plays once he does get there.
It is unclear though if the players themselves may initiate these interactions, such as when they may desire to be traded from one team to another.
There are also times when some of the most important moments in the new "Road To The Show" mode will take place inside locker rooms and manager's offices instead of on the field.
Advisors and agents will also be helping the players out as they continue to move forward and explore different opportunities that may become available.
Players can see the changes included in the new "Road To The Show" mode for themselves as soon as "MLB The Show 17" is officially released on March 28.
