'MLB The Show 18' News: Pre-Order Bonuses and Special Editions Detailed
One of the pre-order bonuses can be used right now in 'MLB The Show 17'
The "MLB The Show" franchise will continue next year as the next entry in the series, "MLB The Show 18," was announced just recently.
Along with that announcement, developers have also revealed the different pre-order bonuses that players will be able to claim together with the special editions that they can purchase.
Beginning with the pre-order bonuses, these are going to vary depending on the retailer.
If players decide to pre-order the game from GameStop, the bonuses they will be able to claim include 15 Standard Packs as well as one Legend Card.
If players opt to pre-order "MLB The Show 18" from the PlayStation Store, they will be given 10 Standard Packs, one Legend Card and 5,000 Stubs. Fans who pre-order from the PlayStation Store will also receive an Aaron Judge Rookie Flashback card that can be used right now inside "MLB The Show 17," according to a recent post on the PlayStation Blog.
Four-day early access will also be provided to fans who pre-order from either GameStop or the PlayStation Store.
Fans who pre-order from other retailers will still be able to obtain 10 Standard Packs and a Legend Card.
Developers also revealed what kinds of extra goodies were included in the special editions of the next "MLB The Show" game.
First off, there is the Digital Deluxe Edition which is exclusive to the PlayStation Store. This edition contains two Mission Starters, the "Digital Deluxe Leadoff Pack," 30 PS4 themes, 11,000 Stubs, 20 Standard Packs, one Sponsor Pack and a classic stadium.
Next up is the "All Rise Edition," which fans can purchase via GameStop or EB Games. This one includes 30 PS4 themes, 11,000 Stubs, 10 Standard Packs, one Sponsor Pack, one classic stadium, a Gold Mission Starter, a Diamond Mission Starter, the Diamond Dynasty New Era All Rise Edition 9FIFTY Hat, a physical version of that hat and an "MVP Edition" Steel Book.
There is also the "MVP Edition," which contains 30 PS4 themes, 5,000 Stubs, 10 Standard Packs, one Sponsor Pack, one classic stadium, a Mission Starter and a Steel Book.
Developers also recently unveiled a new trailer hyping up the game's release.
"MLB The Show 18" is set to be released on March 27.
