Moammar Gaddafi Dead: Donald Trump Says U.S. Should Have Killed Gaddafi for Oil (VIDEO)
Billionaire real estate, mogul and reality TV star Donald Trump has decided to weigh in on the capture and killing of deposed Libyan dictator Moammar Gaddafi, and he thinks it is all a huge waste of time and money because the U.S. will not be getting any oil out of the deal.
"Big deal!" Trump said in a YouTube video. "What do we get out of it?"
Trump complained that the U.S. will not get any oil from Libya now that the rebels will be in charge of the oil-rich nation, saying that Americans should have offered to help get rid of Gaddafi when the rebels were being obliterated by Gaddafi's army in exchange for oil.

"We spent millions and millions and millions of dollars. We just absolutely blast the hell out of them. The rebels then go in, take over the place, and now if we ask for oil they give us nothing," Trump said.
He added: "Four months ago, when they were being routed and just beaten badly and just ready to give up, if we would have said we want 50 percent of the oil, they would have said absolutely, you have a deal. Help us! Help us! You have a deal!"
Trump the segued into an attack on President Barack Obama for not doing more to support Iranian protesters in 2009.
"If Obama would have backed the people of Iran two years ago when that country had a big, big problem and the protesters were really making headway…we wouldn't have had any problems in Iran, believe me," Trump said. "Instead, he abandoned those people and…Iran has gotten stronger."
Although President Obama spoke out in support of the Iranian protesters and against the violence they suffered at the hands of the government, he was also criticized for not doing more. However, human rights groups said that picking a side would have been detrimental in the long run.
"It is better for the U.S. not to comment and make itself part of the equation," said Hadi Ghademi, a spokesman for the International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran, according to The Washington Times. "By supporting one faction versus another, the U.S. would not be helpful at all."
In Libya, however, Obama took a more active role in the revolution, supporting NATO with troops and money in the fight to topple the Gaddafi regime.
Vice President Joe Biden hailed the U.S.’s role in the capture and killing of Gaddafi as a smarter model for foreign relations.
"In this case America spent two billion dollars total and didn't lose a single life," Biden said, as reported on CNN. "This is more the prescription for how to deal with the world as we go forward than it has been in the past. So this is an example of how the world is beginning to work together a little bit better."
