The American comedy series about a very blended family, "Modern Family," is nearing the end of Season 7, with only five episodes left in the line-up of episodes until its season finale. The show, which recently reclaimed its spot as the number one Wednesday show among adults, ages 18 to 49, according to a report in Broadway World, was recently renewed by ABC for another season.
According to ABC.go.com, the network announced on March 4, that the show is returning for a season 8. The show features the blended Pritchett-Dunphy family which was among the first comedy shows to introduce an openly gay family composed of Cameron Tucker (Eric Stonestreet) and Mitchell Pritchett (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) and their adoptive daughter, Lily Tucker-Pritchett (Aubrey Anderson-Emmons).
The previous episode entitled "The Party" showed viewers another set of hilarious situations that happen when the professed adults in the family go off to enjoy some grown-up time with other adults and leave the kids to a pair of babysitters who have other ideas on how the evening should go.

According to a recap in Entertainment Weekly, Claire and Phil went off to their respective adult events – Claire to a spa date with Gloria and Phil to watch a sci-fi movie with Mitch – leaving Manny and Luke to take care of Lily. Manny and Luke had other things in mind, which involved offering Lily with soda in exchange for her silence, as they planned a party with their school friends in their house. The two babysitters were busted however despite their attempts to hide what they were planning, while Phil and Mitch went home, stoned out of their minds because of the marijuana-laced gummy bears that they are before the movie.
As fans wait for the next episode to be aired on April 13, another report in E! Online noted how much the kid-characters in the show since the first season have grown up so much.
