'Modern Family' Season 8 Episode 19: Phil's Antics Mortifies His Family
Claire (Julie Bowen) and the rest of the family have had enough of Phil's (Ty Burrell) crazy humor in the upcoming episode of "Modern Family."
In the episode titled "Frank's Wedding," the synopsis (according to TV Guide) reveals that the family will attend Frank Dunphy's (Fred Willard) wedding. Everyone is invited, as long as they consider the dress code. Frank wants his visitors to follow the "Roaring '20s" theme. Phil will make sure that each member of the family is properly attired when they go to the event. A major surprise is waiting for them, though.
When the Pritchett-Dunphys arrive, to their embarrassment, they will find that they are the only ones wearing a costume. Claire will get angry at her husband, blaming him for what happened. She and the kids will plot against Phil. They have had enough of his humor.
Meanwhile, Cam (Eric Stonestreet) will finally do something about his sister Pam (Dana Powell). He is tired of listening to her whining and will make a stand. Will he tell her to scram and leave since she has overstayed her welcome?
Elsewhere, Jay (Ed O'Neill) will reflect on his decision to say "no" to anyone who asks for his help. When he realized that people tend to take advantage of his giving nature, he changed his tune. He has actually mastered the art of saying "no," but after a particular incident, he will come to regret it.
Last episode, the family discovered that Alex (Ariel Winter) has a boyfriend. Claire and Phil were okay with it, until they realized that the guy was one of her employees.
Viewers also saw Rainer Shine (Nathan Fillion) proposing to Haley (Sarah Hyland). Unfortunately, the weatherman changed his mind when it suddenly began to rain. He was very superstitious. He believed that the rain must mean his relationship with Haley would face problems. She tried to convince him that they could still date, but he broke up with her.
"Modern Family" season 8 airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. EDT on ABC.
