Mom Suing Justin Bieber for $9 Million for Concert Being Too Loud
Justin Bieber is the subject of yet another legal case, as a lawsuit has been filed by a mom claiming that his concert was too loud and is suing him for close to $10 million.
Stacey Betts, a mom from Oregon, is suing Bieber, his record label and promoters of a concert that took place in Portland, Ore., in 2010. According to TMZ, the suit was filed in the U.S. District Court after Betts claimed that a "sound blast" from the show permanently impaired the hearing in both of her ears. Betts is seeking to gain $9.23 million from Bieber and his team due to "hearing loss, severe tinnitus [a ringing in the ears] and hyperacusis [sensitivity to sound] in both ears."
The woman claims Bieber provoked the high noise levels by creating "a wave-like effect of screaming by pointing into various sections of the arena. Then (Bieber) enticed the crowd into a frenzy of screams by continuously waving his arms in a quick and upward motion."

However, Bieber has been fiercely defended by his fans on Twitter.
"Did she want him to sing a lullaby," one person questioned.
Another fan questioned why the woman even went to the concert if she could not handle the noise levels.
"Why was she even in the concert," the fan questioned. "Another grateful Belieber could have taken that seat!"
Still, Betts claims that the "experienced promoters, sound engineers, managers and artists" should have taken responsibility for the noise levels. Although the suit stems from a 2010 incident, it made headlines only one week after Bieber was caught speeding in California.
On July 6, Los Angeles Councilman Dennis Zine said he saw Bieber putting people's lives in danger after speeding on a freeway at an estimated 100 miles per hour.
"As I watched, I was anticipating a crash," Zine told ABC News. "It was chaos. Total willful disregard for people on the roadway."
The "Believe" singer is also being investigated for an incident where he allegedly assaulted a member of the paparazzi last month.
