'Monster Hunter: World' Latest News: New Trailer Released

"Monster Hunter: World" has a new trailer, and this time, Capcom is putting Palicos in the spotlight. These cute feline hunter companions are the main focus of the new teaser clip, which came out on Thursday, Dec. 14.

Palicos may be just one of the few things returning with the new "Monster Hunter" game, but Capcom is making sure that hunters everywhere remember everything that their cat-like companions do for them over the course of the series.

They are the perfect complement to monster hunters regardless of their fighting style, as Gamespot  notes, but more importantly, they keep the player characters alive to fight another day.

They are useful not just in the middle of the fight, but also after, when everything goes wrong for the player.

These sneaky hunting partners will flee carrying the monster hunter with them when things go bad. What's more is that they are excellent chefs that can learn how to turn even the most dangerous of monsters into delicious meals.

With "Monster Hunter: World," Palicos are now even more useful in battle with their new ability. They can talk to small creatures and Felynes, and call to them for help in the middle of a fight. They can be commanded to run in to help, and they will now often bring a large, sturdy partner of their own when they do so.

The new trailer also shows off all the ways monster hunters can customize their Palicos, and as Comic Book points out, they offer more stylish options than the Porgs of the series. Most of these options are also new to the upcoming game, as well.

The video below celebrates the "Purrfect Palicos," which are set to join monster hunters everywhere as the game launches on Jan. 26, 2018 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
