'Monster Hunter: World' News: More Details About the Mighty Nergigante Revealed

The Nergigante is expected to be one of the tougher enemies to deal with in the game

The "Monster Hunter" series has pitted players against powerful creatures in the past and the same is expected to hold true in the upcoming installment known as "Monster Hunter: World."

One creature in particular has been standing out from the pack recently in terms of how challenging it may be for players to slay, and it is none other than the Nergigante.

Developers have made no secret of how powerful the Nergigante will be in the game, even describing it as the game's "deadliest foe yet."

That description may not do the Nergigante enough justice, however, as players really may be in for a hard time when they encounter this beast in the wild.

Developers gave folks in attendance at the recently concluded Tokyo Game Show a pretty good idea of just how fearsome the Nergigante truly is.

Even before the battle begins, "Monster Hunter: World" players are already warned by the Scoutflies that the Nergigante is not something to be messed with unless they are truly ready for it.

If players do not heed that warning, they should then expect the battle to start shortly. The players do not even need to start the battle themselves.

The Nergigante is described as a "super-aggressive monster," one which is more than willing to crush a player if they are not prepared.

Interestingly enough, that aggressiveness translates to how the Nergigante itself acts during a fight. Blinded by its desire to destroy the enemy, the Nergigante will be more than willing to break off parts of its own body just to attack would-be slayers.

Players may even have to rely on the Nergigante hurting itself to a certain extent. Otherwise, they may find no openings to attack because it is encased in a thick armor made out of spikes. Players need to act quickly too, since those damaged body parts are going to heal fast.

As shown in the video above, an encounter with the Nergigante will be a tough one, incredibly so.

"Monster Hunter: World" are going to have to come properly prepared for the battle with the Nergigante or else the beast will dispose of them easily.
