'Monster Hunter: World' News: Training and Research Areas Will Be Made Available to Players

Players will be able to try out the different weapons in the game while training

Though the "Monster Hunter" series has been around for a while, there may be folks who are just planning to get into it now that it is coming to the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in the form of "Monster Hunter: World."

Players new to the series are likely not going to be capable of taking down mighty beasts right away, but the good news for them is that there are things they can do to get better while avoiding danger.

Developers previewed some new areas players can visit in the game as they try to prepare themselves better for the challenges ahead.

First off, developers revealed that there will be a training area present in the game. The training area is filled with different objects that can serve as stand-ins for the creatures players will be looking to hunt down.

Players are also going to be given access to different weapons to use in the training area, so they can figure out which type is most suitable to them. Commands are also shown onscreen so that players can try them out, Siliconera reported.

Training is not the only way for "Monster Hunter: World" players to better prepare themselves for what lies ahead.

Players will also want to set aside some time to visit the research station inside the game, as they can obtain valuable information from it. More specifically, players can learn important things about monsters while at the research station.

Things like a monster's weak point or what it is resistant to can be discovered by dropping by the research center. With those details known, players can formulate a better plan of attack and improve their odds of emerging successful from an encounter.

More details about the other important areas players can visit inside "Monster Hunter: World" should be made available soon, and the game itself is set to be released for the PS4 and Xbox One on Jan. 26 and for the PC sometime later in 2018.
