Both the Motorola's Moto 360 and LG G Watch R have circular faces, which make them stand out from other smartwatches, but there are subtle differences between the two. Here is a side-by-side comparison between the two watches.
Design:
The Moto 360 has a stainless steel housing and genuine leather watch band which makes it appropriate for any occasion. It has a 1.56 inch circular display made up of Gorilla Glass 3, which makes it scratch free. It has a resolution of 320 x 290 pixels.

The G Watch R sports a full circle P-OLED display which measures 1.3 inches in diameter, and has a higher resolution than that of the 360 at 320 x 320, which gives a clearer display. It also has a leather watch band but it can be switched out for any other band that measures 22mm.
Features:
The Moto 360 has a voice recognition feature, enabling the wearer to dictate a message to the device. It has the Google Fit, which uses the watch's built in pedometer and heart rate monitor. It's not completely waterproof, but it can be worn in the rain. It needs to be charged for two hours for the wearer to get 24-hour use out of the device.
Users of the G Watch R need to visit Google Play on their smartphone and download the Android Wear app. It doesn't have the same management apps that the 360 has, but downloading them shouldn't be a problem. The watch's battery will give it enough power to run for two days on a full charge.

Both the Moto 360 and the G Watch R cost $250. The Moto 360 will also launch the watch in light and dark stainless steel bands which will cost $299.
