Moto X 2017 Rumors: New Leak Reveals Dual Camera, No Snapdragon 835

Live images of the Moto X 2017 have been spotted in the wild, showing off some of its goods with juicy information on its specifications to boot.

The photos reveal that the next-generation Motorola device will sport a dual camera setup enclosed in a circular ring just like the one seen in Moto Z handsets. A dual-tone LED flash can be seen just above it.

Build-wise, the Moto X 2017 in these images dons an aluminum body, which gives it a sleek and premium look. Techno Buffalo notes that the design is also reminiscent of that of Apple iPhone and HTC handsets.

The Motorola flagship also appears to be trading some of its defining front elements for a fingerprint sensor and a front-facing flash for the selfie snapper. A speaker is also visible in the image.

It looks like the Moto X 2017 is not getting Mods support as there is no space allotted for the feature, which does not come as a surprise as the company is believed to ditch this aspect of the device anyway.

Overall, Android Police believes that the Moto X 2017 is not the best-looking handset there is and that it could do better in terms of design and appearance.

The site believes that the sudden change in the device's look can be traced back to Lenovo's desire to reinvent the Motorola smartphone lineups after it acquired the company.

An image showing the specs of the device tells that the Moto X 2017 will get a 5.5-inch full high-definition (HD) display. It also reveals that the handset will not get Qualcomm's latest, the Snapdragon 835 processor, which could turn fans off.

Instead, Motorola and Lenovo are going with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with 3 GB random-access memory (RAM) and 32 GB storage space to go with it.

With the revealed specifications and features, the Moto X 2017 is expected to be a budget-friendly device rather than a high-end one.
