Motorola Droid Razr Release Date: Razr vs. HTC Ville
The Motorola Droid Razr is expected to be an impressive smartphone sporting the thinnest body design in the market.
Smartphone experts expect the Razr to compete with the Galaxy Nexus since both devices will be some of the first to include Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Another handset is on the horizon that will feature the new software that technology website GizmoCrunch said could become a stronger competitor in the market.
The HTC Ville sports some impressive hardware including a 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display, 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor and an 8 MP rear shooter.
It has a slightly thicker body at 8 mm thick along with including HSPA+, 1650mAh battery and Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.
HTC also holds a good reputation for cameras on its smartphones while Motorola is the opposite.
The Razr sports a 4.3-inch display as well along with a 1.2GHz TI OMAP 4430 processor and 1 GB of RAM. It also packs 16 GB of built-in storage, a 16 GB microSD card pre-installed, an 8 MP rear shooter and a 1.3MP front camera.
It currently holds the title for debuting as the world’s thinnest 4G LTE smartphone at 7 mm.
Both the Ville and the Razr will be some of the thinnest smartphones to hit the market. The Snapdragon processor used in the Ville is rumored to conserve battery life more efficiently than the Razr’s OMAP. The Ville will also include a removable battery giving it another advantage over the Motorola Droid Razr.
Both smartphones should fare well against the upcoming Galaxy Nexus, but the Ville might be the best match for it, according to GizmoCrunch.
