The Razr will be sold for £454.80 in the U.K. Customers can register for updates on Motorola's U.K. web site for breaking news on the smartphone.

Motorola's smartphone comes with some very nifty specs and features. Its powered by a dual-core 1.2Ghz TI OMAP 4430 processor, has 1 GB RAM and sports a 4.3" Super AMOLED, 960 x 540 display (with Gorilla Glass to protect it).

It also has an 1800mAh battery that delivers 12.5 hours of total talk time.

The operating system that the Razr runs off of is "Android 2.3 Gingerbread." Unlike Samsung's Galaxy Nexus smartphone, the Razr does not run the "Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich" operating system yet.

The Razr's camera is 8 megapixels and is capable of 1080P video recording. 16 GB of internal storage is available, along with 16 GB of additional memory on a MicroSD card. The phone is just 7.1mm thick, which makes it the thinnest smartphone on the market.

The smartphone's laminated construction was made to give it enhanced rigidity and a precision machined stainless steel core. It also comes outfitted with a woven Kevlar backplate.

In the U.S., the Droid Razr will retail for a pre-sale price of $300 on Oct. 27. The smartphone is being offered with a 2-year contract with Verizon Wireless and LTE support.

It is expected to officially release in early- to mid-November for U.S. regions.

Samsung also unveiled its Galaxy Nexus smartphone yesterday at the Samsung/Google press event. The Ice Cream Sandwich operating system debuted as well.
