Motorola Moto X Play with 21MP camera to hit India soon?
Motorola's Moto X Play smartphone, which has a 21-megapixel camera, may hit the Indian market soon, based on the company's recent hints.
Motorola's recent Twitter posts hinted that the Moto X Play smartphone, which has a 21-megapixel rear camera, could be coming to India soon. The photos tweeted by the firm show the smartphone with descriptions of its camera and battery, according to The Indian Express.
"Tired of those hazy memories? Get hitched with a perfect partner with a 21MP rear camera. #XOMotoX," the Express quotes Motorola's Twitter post on Sept. 7.
The posted photo was accompanied by the caption, "No more getting dumped by your phone. Your perfect partner is coming with 30 hours of battery backup."
The 30-hour battery life is one of the features of the Moto X Play. The unit is powered by a 3,630 mAh battery. The phone comes after the Moto X Style, and has a smaller display and lower price, Focus News reports.
The new Moto X smartphone has a bigger 5.5-inch full-HD display with a resolution of 403 ppi and Gorilla Glass 3 protection, the report adds.
The Moto X Play runs on a Snapdragon 615 octa-core chip at 1.7 gigahertz with Adreno 405 @ 550 MHz GPU. Just like the Moto X Style, this new smartphone has a Natural Language Processor and Contextual Computing Processor. It also has 2 GB of RAM, and either 16 GB or 32 GB internal storage, which is expandable up to 128 GB via microSD card slot.
One of the best features of the Moto X Play is its water-resisting capability. It has a 21-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera.
The other Moto X phone, the Moto X Style, sports a 5.7-inch QHD display. The Moto X Play is the smaller version of the aforementioned Motorola smartphone.
As of now, the release date of the Moto X Play is still unconfirmed.
