Motorola X Phone Snaps First Picture, Image Leaks

The Motorola X Phone camera snapped a picture recently as the image was tweeted out by a site known for leaks earlier this week.

The image appeared on the Twitter account of @EvLeaks. "Taken with a Motorola moto x," wrote the site. It did not mention any other details concerning the smartphone. The picture is pretty good quality, indicating that the Motorola X Phone will have a good camera.

There is no EXIF data present in the file for the picture, according to Android Authority. So, there is no way to fully confirm that this image was taken with the handset.

Motorola's CEO Dennis Woodside finally confirmed the existence of the Android powered X Phone at the recent AllThingsD conference.

The device will be manufactured in Texas and will be coming to all major U.S. carriers sometime in October.

Evleaks also reported a new list of leaked specifications for the device. The Motorola X Phone could feature a 1.7GHz dual-core MSM8960 Pro processor, 720p display, 2GB RAM, 16GB of internal memory, 10-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front shooter and Android 4.2.2, JellyBean. The processor is the same Snapdragon S4 Pro that showed up in the LG Optimus G last year.

The only specification in that list that seems unlikely is Android 4.2.2, as the handset will most likely run a newer build of the software such as Android 4.3 or Android 5.0.

A device that could be the Motorola X Phone was recently spotted at the FCC, confirming some of the recent rumors regarding the handset.

This device featured the model number XT1056, suggesting that this could be another version of the Google-powered X Phone that has been rumored to be in development for quite some time, according to Android Authority.
