Motorola X Phone Specs and Information, What to Expect at Release Time

We are just days away from the unveiling of the Motorola X Phone and the device is sure to impress based on the information that leaked over the past few weeks.

The Moto X Phone was spotted at the closed-doors media event that took place just a few weeks ago. It was attended by Leo Laporte who has not yet confirmed if the device that appeared in the video of the event was actually the Moto X. Its design was similar to many of the recent leaks that have shown it coming in black and white.

All of the information that derived from the leaked images points to a device with an edge-to-edge display with no physical buttons, a curved back, and a camera placed in the center of the topside. It is fairly slim and will come with a 2200mAh battery, according to FCC documentation.

Taylor Wimberly recently spilled the beans on the Moto X's Magic Glass display that features a Gorilla Glass sheet being molded to a special polymer. This results in a gap-free surface that wraps around the edges of the device. The phone will be made from laminated aluminum providing it with a light weight and high strength design. It is also expected to be customizable as users will be able to choose between a variety of materials for the Moto X including plastic, metal, wood, and carbon fiber.

Other specifications rumored for the device include a dual-core 1.7GHz Qualcomm S4 Processor with Adreno 320 GPU, 2GB RAM, a 4.7-inch HD display with 720x1184 resolution, a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera, Android 4.2.2, JellyBean, 16GB of internal memory, NFC, and no microSD support.

It could also feature Motorola's X8 Mobile Computing System which will power the Droid Ultra, Droid Maxx, and Droid Mini.

The X8 features eight-cores with a dual-core CPU and a quad-core GPU.
