'Mr. Robot' Season 2 News: Teaser and Release Date Revealed
The release date and trailer for the highly anticipated USA series "Mr. Robot" has already been revealed.
After a successful first season of "Mr. Robot," fans have been waiting to hear more about the next season of the USA series. According to Variety, the upcoming season will premiere in a couple of months.
Along with the release date, a teaser for "Mr. Robot" Season 3 was recently revealed. It was unveiled on Entertainment Weekly, which hinted a battle for Elliot. It was shown that the hack that took place in the previous season was able to bring chaos to the world.
However, it was also teased that Elliot (Rami Malek) will have to continue dealing with many problems ahead. The previewed ended with the statement, "We have other battles to fight."
While there has yet to be any other details describing the upcoming storyline, fans can expect Sam Esmail, the show's creator, to lead the upcoming season. It was announced that he will be the one to direct the ten episodes of "Mr. Robot" Season 2.
According to Slash Film, Esmail shared some details about what the upcoming season will hold. He said that it will contain a better backstory to the characters' lives. In addition, he reassured fans that the timeline for the series will see more clarity.
Aside from the characters present in the previous season, several new characters will be added to the roster. It was announced that Grace Gummer, Craig Robinson, Joey Bada$$, and Chris Conroy will be taking part of the upcoming season.
Gummer will take on the role of Dominique DiPierro, who is an FBI agent in charge of investigating the recent hack. As for Robinson, he will portray a character named Ray, who is expected to help Elliot out. As for Bada$$, his character named Leon, will also become Elliot's friend in the upcoming season. Meanwhile, Conroy will become a character's new love interest.
"Mr. Robot" Season 2 is expected to premiere on USA by Jul. 13.
