'Mr. Robot' season finale airing postponed due to Virginia shooting incident
The season finale for USA Network's "Mr. Robot" has been postponed due to a graphic scene in the episode similar to the recent Virginia shootings.
USA Network has decided to hold back its "Mr. Robot" season finale for at least a week following the fatal shooting of two journalists in Virginia this week, as a graphic scene in the show's last episode appeared to be similar to the incident.
Reporter Alison Parker and cameraman Adam Ward were shot dead on live television Wednesday while they were doing an interview for WDBJ's morning show in Roanoke. The gunman, Vester Lee Flanagan II, a former WDBJ employee, fled the scene and later committed suicide.

USA Network, which had filmed the "Mr. Robot" Season 1 finale earlier, decided to yank the episode temporarily, out of respect to the shooting victims and their families.
The network posted an announcement on its website explaining its decision to postpone the season finale, while sending their sympathies to the families of the victims and all those affected by the shooting.
However, the network's website did not describe the graphic scene in the last "Mr. Robot" Season 1 episode, and how it appeared similar to Wednesday shooting deaths, which they cited as the main reason for postponing its airing.
"Mr. Robot," a Sam Esmail drama thriller which premiered on the USA Network on May 27, follows the story of New York security engineer Elliot Alderson (Rami Malek) who suffers from clinical depression and social anxiety disorder characterized by delusion and paranoia.
Alderson's way of connecting with people is to hack into their online information, leading to him becoming a cyber-vigilante. Because of his hacking abilities, he is recruited to join a mysterious team of hacktivists tasked to take down E Corp, one of the world's largest corporations.
"Mr. Robot" has since been renewed for a second season.
