'My 600-lb Life' News: Steven Assanti Reactivates Social Media Page
Last week, it was noticed that "My 600-lb Life" star Steven Assanti had reactivated his official Facebook page after taking a break from the social media scene.
Steven was one of the featured individuals in the "My 600-lb Life" reality series on TLC along with his brother Justin. The show covered the daily life and struggles of obese people like the Assanti brothers and their journey to getting better and dropping weight. Its latest season concluded last April.
Steven's return to social media was first spotted by Inquisitr, which noted that the reality star's break from the online platform went on for a couple of months and happened without his warning his fans about it.
However, in Inquisitr's report, it was mentioned that Steven had shared several posts that implied the "My 600-lb Life" star was not in a good place. One of Steven's posts reportedly said: "Emotionally, I'm done. Mentally, I'm drained. Spiritually, I feel dead. Physically, I smile."
The social media post was apparently published over the weekend. However, if someone visits Steven's Facebook page, its latest update was written on August. Thus Steven might have already deleted it or made some of his timeline messages private to a select group of people.
Meanwhile, fans will also recall that before Steven refrained from using social media, there were speculations that he and his brother Justin were not on good terms.
In September, Steven shared an anti-bullying message on Facebook -- it has since been deleted -- that was later posted by a fan on Reddit. In the thread, an account that presumably belonged to Justin did not mince words and commented that Steven's apology to him "was forced" and the former "didn't care."
The fan that started the Reddit thread then responded and said: "Hey Justin! Hope you're feeling better now. :) Yeah, I think we all saw through Steven's so-called apology to you. Looks like you're thriving without him anyway."
Despite what seems to be an ongoing feud between the brothers, Steven is set to continue his "My 600-lb Life" feature next year, as he confirmed in July.
