'myGuardianAngel' iPhone App Provides Users With New Measures of Protection

A new iPhone app, "myGuardianAngel," allows users to receive emergency assistance during the most dangerous situations.

The app, which was developed by DS Apps LLC, provides its users with real time help as soon as trouble arises. By pressing the "HELP" button, an emergency alert is sent to several contacts, video evidence is captured and the GPS location is updated every minute on a Google map.

The app continues to stream audio from the phone to the user's emergency contacts. Depending on the type of emergency situation the user is in, the contacts can decide what to do.

In the case of a false alarm, users are able to say "everything is okay" into the iPhone. After being recorded as a voicemail message, myGuardianAngel alerts all emergency contacts of the user's current status and well-being.

Another feature of the app is its ability to call 911 with the push of one button. Using this feature also helps send a message to each emergency contact stating that 911 was just called, along with the location of the event. An additional feature is designed for a discreet situation such as a date, party or domestic violence situation. The app keeps its users safe at all costs.

myGuardianAngel sends all information to a secure web site for viewing. The user's emergency contacts will be able to download the information onto their computer or phone for future reference.

This safety app is not only an ideal apps for single individuals, but it can assist neighborhood watch groups in notifying the authorities of a crime though recorded footage of the incident.

"The idea for the myGuardianAngel iPhone App was born from the far too many news stories about kids and adults being kidnapped, killed, molested and abused,” wrote the official website for the app.

Adding, “The myGuardianAngel iPhone App brings together existing technologies that can help or save people, solve crimes and help to prosecute offenders."

David Dyal, creator of the app, spoke to The Christian Post about how useful the app can be. "As a husband, father, and grandfather I have trouble with the thought of my loved ones having to face trouble alone," he said.

Adding, "Since so many people are carrying cell phones these days the myGuardianAngel App provides people with a tool to give them real help in a variety of situations. With the push of one button a person in trouble can seek help from several people, have their location tracked by GPS, capture video evidence and be able to tell all of their emergency contacts at the same time exactly what their situation is and exactly what they need. All contacts are able to hear what you are saying with only a 10 second delay with good reception."

Dyal also spoke on how his app could have aided even more people in the past. He questioned, "How many of the stories in the news about someone disappearing without a trace could have ended differently if they could have just pushed one button and at least let someone know they were in trouble, let them know where they were and maybe provide some bits of evidence as to what was happening to them?"

The app is available in the iTunes App Store for only 99 cents. A portion of profits from the sale of the app will be donated to charities for the missing, abused, abducted or molested.
