Naked Man Tasered by Police at Wal-Mart
A man who was trying on socks in a Wal-Mart in Pennsylvania was arrested by police after the man would not put his clothes back on.
The completely naked man was caught on surveillance video walking into the Wal-Mart. He then is seen walking casually to the undergarment section and then putting on the socks. He was eventually tasered by police and arrested after he refused to put his clothes on and leave the store.
The unusual scene involved 6'4" 300 lb., Verdon Lamont Taylor, after he was seen taking off all of his clothes while he was still in the parking lot at the Wal-Mart in Exton, Penn.
West Whiteland Township Police stated that officers were called to the scene around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday after Taylor was seen in the store wearing only socks, according to Fox.
The 32-year-old is then seen calmly walking into the Wal-Mart while other customers in the store do their best to avoid him as he walks through the store before stopping near the customer care center.
When he stops at the customer service center the video shows the man takes and opens the package of socks and then puts on one pair before he set off to continue walking around the store.
When police arrived he refused to obey the officers orders, local media reported. As the officers tried to approach Taylor he allegedly spit in the face of one of the officers. That action led the reaming officers to use non-lethal force who tasered the man in order to subdue him.
Taylor was arraigned on several charges including of indecent exposure, aggravated assault, simple assault, retail theft, receiving stolen property and disorderly conduct.
He was sent to Chester County prison where he remains after failing to post $50,000 bail. There has been a preliminary court hearing scheduled to take place on March 21.
