Nancy Grace Goes Off on Joran van der Sloot's Friend for Defending Him (VIDEO)
Nancy Grace lost control on a friend of Joran van der Sloot’s on Wednesday night when he defended his friend’s actions, saying he was “provoked.”
Hours after van der Sloot pleaded guilty to the murder of Stephany Flores in a Peruvian court, John Ludwick granted HLN’s outspoken host, Nancy Grace an exclusive interview. Ludwick said that van der Sloot “had no choice” but to plead guilty to the murder of Flores, but that she shouldn’t have provoked him.
Ludwick told Grave that Flores put herself in harm’s way when she did not leave van der Sloot’s hotel room upon realizing he was a suspect in the 2005 disappearance of Natalee Holloway.
“I’m not saying she deserved it, but she could have prevented it by leaving immediately,” Ludwick said.
“Do you realize how crazy you sound?” Grace exploded.
“I’m speaking now as a victim of violent crime myself,” Grace said on air. "I reserve this for very, very few people, but you, sir, are a fool.”
Ludwick said he could not dispute the evidence against his friend in the Flores case but hopes he is released from prison in ten years or less.
Grace cut Ludwick’s interview short by demanding his microphone be shut off.
