Naomi Campbell Mugged, Injured in Paris
Naomi Campbell suffered a leg injury after being attacked and robbed in Paris recently.
The supermodel was spotted using crutches and a wheelchair over the past month, and reports are just now revealing why.
The 42-year-old beauty was trying to hail a cab while in the City of Lights last month when a band of "thugs" attacked her, according to The New York Post's Page Six.
During the scuffle, Campbell was "knocked over and robbed."
It is unclear what the robbers took from the model or what their motivation may have been.
"It's believed they were targeting expensive jewelry she may have been wearing," according to French police, who are investigating the incident.
The incident resulted in a torn ligament in the model's leg, explaining her need for crutches and a wheelchair.
"It was terrifying," recounted one onlooker to Page Six. "Naomi believes the assailant had been watching her, casing her out, and waited for a moment to strike when she was alone."
Meanwhile, Campbell has remained quiet about the attack, and has been regularly posting to Twitter.
She also celebrated New Year's Eve fully despite her injury. The British model posted well wishes and several New Year's resolutions to the micro blogging site following the holiday.
"Wishing Happy New Year to all," Campbell tweeted on Dec. 31. "Be Blessed and Light! X N"
She later added a series of tweets reading helpful tips.
"1. Drink plenty of water. 2. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a beggar. 3. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants… 4. Live with the 3 E's – Energy, Enthusiasm, and Empathy," she wrote.
"5. Make time to pray. 6. Play more games. 7. Read more books than you did in 2008. 8. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day. 9. Sleep for 7 hours. 10. Take a 10-30 minute walk daily. And while you walk, smile," Campbell continued.
Furthermore, the supermodel is preparing for the launch of her new reality television series "The Face," which is scheduled for premiere on Oxygen next month.
