'Nashville' Season 3 Premiere Date: Late September 2014 Release, Charles Esten to Play Song

"Nashville," the American musical drama television series, will premiere its third season on Sept. 24 on ABC.

The television show's season 3 premiere will be accompanied by a song that actor Charles Esten, who plays Deacon Claybourne, co-wrote with Grammy-nominated country singer Deana Carter entitled "I Know How to Love You Now." Esten has had some experience with opening for some country starts like Jennifer Nettles and Alan Jackson on a few shows during his summer hiatus.

"I've played some big rooms, but none as big as the whole United States," Esten said during an interview while doing a Nashville shoot on location.

Esten also said that he'd like to contribute a song to the show, adding that he appreciates all the song writers who lend their talent to the series.

"The best songwriters in Nashville bring us these amazing songs … And some of them are well-known like Lee Brice, who's such a big name in music right now," Esten says.

The series is about a legendary country music superstar named Rayna James, played by Connie Britton, whose popularity begins to fade. In the series, her record label suggests that she open a tour for a rising star named Juliette Barnes.

From the get-go, the two don't get along well with Juliette seeing Rayna as privileged and Rayna disliking Juliette's style of music. Their conflict further escalates when the two try to enlist guitarist Deacon Claybourne to play for their respective tours. Rayna's situation further complicates when her father convinces her husband Teddy Conrad to run as Major of Nashville.

The series is widely known for its original compositions and has already put out four collections of soundtracks that have sold a collective 627,000 copies.
