'Nashville' Season 4 Midseason Finale Spoilers: Markus Gets Cold Feet; Deacon Proposes?

There's one more episode to go before "Nashville" Season 4 goes on its midseason break and it appears that fans will be in for some major drama before it does. In the upcoming midseason finale, titled "We've Got Nothing But Love To Prove," romantic relationships and livelihoods will be on the line as Colt (Keean Johnson) and Luke (Will Chase) deal with their issues and Rayna (Connie Britton) finds out if Markus (Riley Smith) can keep her label alive.

According to the official Episode 10 synopsis served up by ABC, Rayna has booked Markus a guest spot on "Good Morning America" and the program will be broadcasting his performance in support of the launch of his new album. It's a big opportunity for Markus, whose concert will be shown live from Nashville, but the newest Highway 65 artist will have a sudden case of stage fright. "Come show time, Markus will find he's anything but ready," ABC says. Rayna is counting on this performance going well. Will the young rocker disappoint her?

Aside from her professional life, Rayna also has to deal with her home life. According to the same synopsis, "Living in the same house, but feeling further apart than ever, Rayna and Deacon face a big decision." Will the distance between Rayna and Deacon widen or will the two take a big leap together? The promo video for Episode 10 shows Deacon presenting a giant engagement ring. Will he still pop the question after Rayna and Markus' celebratory rooftop liplock?

Meanwhile, Luke will face some hurdles with the launch of his brand and will try to patch things up with Colt, but it sounds like he won't have much success with either. "Luke's relationship with Colt continues to be strained while Luke learns of another setback to launching his brand," says the synopsis.

Episode 10 was directed by Arlene Sanford and written by Debra Fordham.

"Nashville" Season 4 continues with "We've Got Nothing But Love To Prove" on Dec. 9 at 10 p.m. on ABC. It returns from its winter break on March 16, 2016.
