Natalie Grant's New Album 'Hurricane' to Be Released Oct. 15
Five-time Dove Award winner Natalie Grant is releasing her newest album, Hurricane, on Oct. 15.
The single of the same name was the number one song on iTunes within hours of debuting in May and had high ratings on the Billboard and MediaBase charts.
"I've journeyed through a lot over the past three years," said Grant in a press release. "This record is full of my stories and is a reminder that no matter how dark the struggle may seem, I am not alone. And through writing these songs, I've been reminded that hope always wins."
"This record is full of music that is positive and bright, both musically and lyrically, which is almost the antitheses to how I have felt for the last few years, but it is the result of hope and faith", Grant continues. "Even when everything seems dark, my faith keeps the light on. I feel these songs help me to tell that truth in a fresh way."
Prior to the release, Grant will be teaming up with a gospel music legend Sandi Patty.
"Natalie and I are so excited to perform together in concert for the first time," said Patty through Big Machine Media. "We can't wait to be at Bell Shoals Baptist Church on August 03."
Grant is currently the Gospel Music Association (GMA) Female Vocalist of the Year fifth time and has compiled over 10 top five hits such as: "Your Great Name," "Held," and "In Better Hands." Grant is one of the top Christian artists of the last decade, selling millions of albums.
"Natalie Grant is the real deal, not only on the stage but also off-stage. Not only is she a talented performer and songwriter, she is a wonderful mother of three beautiful girls and she has an incredible husband that she adores," said Patty in a press release. "She is incredibly special to me."
Patty is known as the "Voice of Christian Music" and is the most successful female artist in Christian music. Over the last 35 years Patty has sold over 12 million albums, received five Grammy Awards, four Billboard Music Awards, 40 GMA Dove Awards, which includes an 11-year run as female vocalist of the year. She was recently inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame.
"Sandi Patty is a big reason why we have contemporary Christian music," said Grant through Big Machine Media. "She truly is an icon."
