Fans of the hit basketball simulation game "NBA 2K16" can now celebrate as the update that they've been waiting for has finally arrived. According to a report by International Business Times, the new patch 4 has already been released.

As of now, the update is only available on PlayStation 4, but publisher 2K Sports assures gamers that the update will be coming as well to the PC and Xbox One platform. There's no announced specific date yet but it should be arriving soon.

PlayStation Lifestyle reported that the "NBA 2K16" fourth update is over 2 GB and fixes issues with the game. It also said that unless noted otherwise, all of the patch fixes should work in the player's existing game mode saves. The full patch notes for the fourth update is also detailed.

As written in the notes, the update addressed a hang that takes place whenever the players edit or apply tattoos in Edit Player. It also fixed a bug that causes a player to lose control of their player at some point while in the game. A disconnect issue that was noticed by some players during online games has been fixed as well. Moreover, the patch improved the user interface when applying contracts to players in MyTeam. It took away the display which showed how many contracts the player would have if the current card was applied. Issues like hangs, infinite loads, and missing art assets were also fixed. Those are just some of the general updates.

The MyCareer, MyPark and MyCourt modes have received updates as well. Some of the changes include fixing a rare situation where the game hangs when the gamer's MyPLAYER would be interviewed by Doris Burke at the end of the first half of the game or when the interview happens after the game. The correct records and rep level now appearing on the MyPark loading screen is another example of the changes. The wall and floor art for the San Antonio Spurs and some purchased shoes that were not properly appearing in MyCourt have been fixed as well.
