'NBA 2K17' News: Recently Released Roster Update Accounts for Waiver Wire Pickups
Numerous players also had their overall ratings affected by latest 'NBA 2K17' roster update
There were still big roster moves made in the NBA even after the trade deadline passed as teams signed free agents who could potentially help them down the stretch, and a recently released roster update for "NBA 2K17" accounts for these acquisitions.
First off, the defending champs, the Cleveland Cavaliers, now boast an even deeper roster inside the game. The roster update now places point guard Deron Williams on the team.
Not to be outdone, the 2016 Western Conference Champions, the Golden State Warriors, also made a move to bolster their roster in the wake of Kevin Durant's injury. The team signed forward Matt Barnes to help fill the void left by Durant. That move has been accounted for in the roster update, according to the new images shared over on Twitter by the developers.
The roster update also adds Brandon Jennings to the Washington Wizards' roster.
Aside from the roster moves, the update also makes changes to the overall ratings of several players.
With two-time league MVP Stephen Curry in the midst of a tough shooting stretch, developers have dropped his overall rating down by one point to 93.
Newly minted New Orleans Pelican DeMarcus Cousins also had his overall mark lowered by one point to 92.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, dynamic Milwaukee Bucks All-Star Giannis Antetokounmpo has continued his stellar play coming out of the break and is now sporting an overall rating of 90 inside "NBA 2K17."
John Wall of the Wizards has also been running the point extremely well this year, as he's been the driving force fueling this resurgent squad to playoff contention, and that's why he now holds an overall mark of 90.
More news about other title and roster updates that may also be released for "NBA 2K17" should be made available in the near future.
