'NBA 2K18' Game to Be Released for Nintendo Switch in September 2017
Since it was confirmed back in January, the upcoming basketball simulation video game "NBA 2K18" has already made it into sports enthusiasts' wish lists. But what can gamers, old and new, expect from the next installment of the popular "NBA 2K" game series, and how will it set itself apart from its predecessors?
So far, the only major difference in "NBA 2K18" is that it will be the first game in the series to be released for the new hybrid console, Nintendo Switch. The title promises to hit the new console with unparalleled authenticity along with high-end improvements on the court. It aims to carry on the franchise's legacy of being the gold standard in basketball simulation by providing players with a realistic gaming experience that mirrors true National Basketball Association (NBA) gameplay.
Popular features like MyPlayer and MyTeam have been confirmed for the upcoming title.
Like previous installments, "NBA 2K18" will allow players to create their own MyPlayer and carve their own paths toward NBA glory in MyCareer. New card types will also give players the ability to build their very own all-star lineup in MyTeam. And for the more ambitious gamers who want to keep on scaling the ladder to success, there's MyLeague and MyGM, which will allow them to take control of an NBA franchise or even an entire basketball league.
Players may also compete with fellow players from anywhere around the globe for a more intense battle for supremacy on court.
"NBA 2K18" is scheduled to be released for the Nintendo Switch in September.
Hard-core fans are hoping that the upcoming game will also have the usual "NBA 2K" Early Tip-Off Weekend, which will let players who have pre-ordered the game to pick up the title the weekend before its official release.
There is no news yet about the game possibly releasing for other consoles.
