NBA Rumors 2015: Bucks Reportedly Looking at Free Agent Carlos Boozer
Carlos Boozer's career in the NBA took a dive this year when he failed to sign with any team. But early into the season, it looks like he's finally getting his chance to prove he still has it as the struggling Milwaukee Bucks are reportedly interested in him.
The free agent power forward met with team official this week, with the hope of landing a deal that's favorable for both parties. Yahoo! Sports first announced the meeting but there hasn't been any official word as to whether or not a deal is already in place. The same meeting included head coach Jason Kidd, general manager John Hammond, and Boozer.
The move to find someone like the 34-year-old is not surprising after the Bucks got blown out in two consecutive games versus the Lakers and the Clippers. The American is known for his offensive talents inside the paint and adding him to the lineup will definitely improve the team's scoring.

Furthermore, Milwaukee might be looking at Boozer as a temporary relief for center Greg Monroe, who still is out with a sprained MCL in his right knee. Other than John Henson, the Bucks no longer have a potent offensive weapon in their frontcourt.
Boozer is a 13-year NBA veteran who comes in with decent averages of 16.2 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game. He also is a two-time NBA All-Star and has played in several franchises, including the Utah Jazz, Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Lakers, and the Chicago Bulls.
After getting unsigned in the offseason, Boozer didn't follow the conventional direction of several veteran players in the league usually take — playing overseas. Instead, he opted to become a guest studio analyst for NBA-TV while waiting for any offer from any team in the league. And by the looks of it, his patience payed off with the Bucks' interest. However, it remains to be seen if the veteran forward eventually lands a contract.
