'NCIS: Los Angeles' Season 7 Episode 12 Spoilers: The Mystery Behind Agent Callen Will Finally Be Solved

It took seven season for "NCIS: Los Angeles" to explain the mystery behind Special Agent G. Callen's (Chris O'Donnell) name, and in the upcoming midseason premiere, the G in his name will finally be revealed.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the show got to its 159th episode, or seven years, before Callen's identity is finally unveiled. The show's executive producer, Shane Brennan, told the website that while it may be a long wait for fans, it was sure fun to find out who Callen is. "We've had a lot of fun finding out who Callen is, and from where he came. I wanted the audience to have the opportunity to enjoy that moment," Brennan said. "It was always my intention to reveal Callen's identity before the series ended," he added.

However, even if Special Agent Callen's real identity is revealed to the viewers, his journey is still far from over. "In many ways, it's just beginning," the EP promised. With finally getting an answer to one of the series' mystery, fans can't wait to see the upcoming "NCIS: Los Angeles" episode, which is titled "Core Values," tonight.
