'NCIS: Los Angeles' Season 9 Episode 6 Spoilers: Deeks Gets Called Back by LAPD for a Case

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) will reach out to Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) to handle an important case in the upcoming episode of "NCIS: Los Angeles."

In the episode titled "Can I Get A Witness?," the synopsis reveals that Deeks' former partner, Lieutenant Bates (Patrick St. Esprit), has gone rogue. Detective Whiting (Karina Logue) believes that he is the only one who can bring the man in.

In a sneak peek released, Deeks and Whiting are shown talking in a private room. She informs him that his friend killed a cop that morning and that the whole thing was captured on tape. Deeks tries to defend Bates, stating that he is one of the good guys, but the other will hear none of it.

Whiting makes clear that Bates is one of the "dirty" cops being investigated by the IRS. There are pieces of evidence that show some of the LAPD detectives are moonlighting as private contractors. Whiting says Bates is the one running the whole thing. Since the man trusts Deeks, they want him to reach out to the other and ask him to turn himself in.

Deeks slams Whiting and emphasizes that he will not take part of the operation. Just as he is about to walk out of the room, Whiting gives him an ultimatum. He will work with them in the Bates probe or she will reveal the truth about that murder case Deeks was involved with in the past.

Meanwhile, the other promo shows a case the NCIS will handle. A bunch of kids will witness a massacre. During the investigation, Callen (Chris O'Donnell) and the others will deal with adversaries intent on murdering them.

In the clip, he and Sam (LL Cool J) are about to get hit by a speeding car. One scene also shows them trying to dodge a barrage of bullets. Whoever the criminals behind these attacks are, they are determined to kill everyone who will dare cross their path. As usual, the new case will test everyone's mettle.

Last episode, the squad took on a case involving a prominent investment banker who had deep ties with the Russian mafia.

"NCIS: Los Angeles" airs Sundays, at 9 p.m. EDT on CBS.
