'NCIS: New Orleans' Season 2 Episode 12 Spoilers: What Happens in 'Sister City: Part 2?'

The New Year will start with a bang for Agent Pride (Scott Bakula) and the others on "NCIS: New Orleans," since the show will immediately showcase a crossover special with "NCIS." With both shows airing the special back-to-back, fans wonder what will happen to the New Orleans-based characters in "Sister City: Part 2," which is also the 12th episode of the series' sophomore run.

According to Fox News, the teams will investigate the mass poisoning of the passengers and crew of a private plane going to Washington D.C. Abby's (Pauley Perrette) brother, Luca (Tyler Ritter), is the plane's chef, but he became the prime suspect since he wasn't on the plane even if he's listed as a passenger. Fans are excited to see more depth in Perrette's character in the upcoming episode.

During his interview with the website, Ritter said that his experience working with the lead actors of both shows was fun. "I get interrogated by both Agent Pride [Scott Bakula] and Agent Gibbs [Mark Hamon], which were two different experiences and both nerve-wracking and scary — and I'm speaking on behalf of Tyler and Luca," he confessed.

The actor was asked on what's going to happen on the two-hour special, and he teased that Luca will ask for his sister's help, by means of leaving Abby treasure map clues. "Abby and Luca so clearly have such a colorful past. I was like, 'I wonder if I would be able to leave little clues all over Disneyland and see if my siblings could find me.' It almost felt like a challenge," Ritter said.

The synopsis of the upcoming episode of "NCIS: New Orleans" was posted on The Futon Critic, and it reads, "While Special Agent Pride and the New Orleans team investigate a Russian sleeper agent who was involved with Abby's brother, Luca (Tyler Ritter), Sebastian flies to D.C. to partner with Abby on the forensics in the case. Also, Bishop drives through the night to deliver a package and work the case with the New Orleans team."

The second part of the special was directed by James Hayman and was written by Christopher Silber.

Watch "NCIS: New Orleans" season 2 episode 12 tonight, Jan. 5, just right after "NCIS" on CBS.
