'NCIS New Orleans' Season 2 Episode 3 Spoilers and Episode 2 Plot Recap: The Team Takes on a Plane Crash
In the upcoming episode of "NCIS New Orleans" entitled "Touched by the Sun," the official synopsis reads, "the team must determine if human error or technical malfunction led to the death of a combat pilot who crashed in a high-tech jet that had just been approved to be deployed to military bases on a global scale."
In the preview for the episode, it seems that the team have to determine if the female pilot, who fatally crashed a plane that was supposed to deploy to military bases all over the world, intentionally crashed the plane due to human error or if the plane malfunctioned.
In the previous episode, it began with a dead body that belonged to a blogger named Jonah Penn. Jonah had created a name for himself by exposing corruption within the government. Jonah's most recent investigation involved some Navy files that the Navy wanted back.
The team got assigned to the case and they had begun to step on some toes while they looked into what Jonah was working on. Jonah was investigating a mission that involved Navy SEALS and some sort of shadow unit.
The team had to look into their own unit, and while they did this, there was another body found. Navy Petty Officer Wyatt Granier was found with his tongue cut out. The team found a hair that belonged to Chief Petty Officer Ryan Jensen. Both men were former SEALS.
Jensen made things hard for the team and evaded capture. The team discovered that the person they were looking for was a CIA agent named David Dalton. Dalton has been protecting the person who butchered the people. The SEALS received their orders from Dalton and it was not until they realized what they were doing that Jensen and Granier started talking to Jonah.
Jensen provided the evidence needed to arrest Dalton and none of his team stood by him when the NCIS and SEALS were ready to convict him. Someone approached Sebastian with a deal online.
"NCIS New Orleans" airs every Tuesday.
