'NCIS: New Orleans' Season 3 Episode 16 Spoilers: Squad Tracks Down a Potential Deserter
Pride (Scott Bakula) and his team will track down a potential Navy deserter in the upcoming episode of "NCIS: New Orleans."
In the episode titled The Last Stand," the synopsis (according to TV Guide) reveals that the NCIS will track down a JAG lawyer who suddenly went missing. The attorney was in charge of classified cases and finding him is of the highest priority. Pride's longtime friend, state and military attorney Rita Devereaux (Chelsea Field) will personally ask him to take the case. According to the records, the missing man was volunteering for a private-military academy prior to his disappearance. The NCIS team will start the investigation from there.
The promo shows, however, that the lawyer is already dead. Pride and the others will find his body in the middle of the woods. A postmortem examination reveals that he was shot twice at the back. Gregorio (Vanessa Ferlito) posits that someone was waiting for the victim to show up and then shot him.
In the clip, Pride and Devereaux were shown having a serious talk. He promises her that they will find the person who killed the lawyer. The state attorney has a warning for Pride. If they fail the mission, Devereaux will personally launch a probe that may ruffle some bigwig's feathers.
It looks like Devereaux is blaming the Navy for the death of the lawyer. She may have a reason to do so, as the situation takes a drastic turn for Pride and the squad. The clip shows uniformed men surrounding Percy (Shalita Grant) and LaSalle (Lucas Black). The same thing happens to Pride and Gregorio. Someone from the higher ups must have ordered their arrest. It looks like there is more to the lawyer's death than meets the eye. They must find out the truth, but how do they start when the NCIS team seems to be compromised?
"NCIS: New Orleans" season 3 episode 16 will air Tuesday, March 7, at 10 p.m. EST on CBS.
