'NCIS' Season 13 Episode 8 Spoilers – DiNozzo Meets His Ex Amidst Insurgency In Sudan
The next episode of "NCIS" has DiNozzo coming face to face with his ex-girlfriend, Jeanne Benoit, when DiNozzo goes with McGee to investigate the kidnapping of volunteer doctors. Scottie Thompson returns as Jeanne Benoit in this blast from the past, slightly nostalgic episode.
The synopsis of the episode titled "Saviours" states: "DiNozzo is reunited with his ex-girlfriend, Jeanne Benoit, when insurgents in Sudan attack a group of volunteer doctors, including her husband. DiNozzo and McGee travel to the crime scene for the joint murder and kidnapping case and join the search for the missing doctors.
In the backdrop of the story, there seems to be an insurgency in Sudan and doctors have been kidnapped and held hostage by the insurgents.

The interesting thing about this episode is DiNozzo meeting his ex, Jeanne Benoit, with whom he has had a colourful past. They were together about ten years back. Considering "NCIS" is thirteen seasons down, it has a lot of characters that can be brought up in the present and featured in interesting storylines.
But Jeanne is now married and it is her husband who is in the group of volunteer doctors who have been kidnapped.
DiNozzo and McGee go to Sudan to investigate this case that includes a murder too.
The previous episode also had a case from the past that was solved. Last week's episode featured Ducky and the "Sherlock Consortium," a secret society that solves "cold cases." A retired Lt. Commander Runyan Hayes comes to the Consortium to clear his son, Michael Hayes, from a murder case.
Unfortunately, Lt. Commander Hayes is found dead and Abby Sciuto feels guilty because of a botched crime scene investigation from the Michael Hayes' case way back in 1999.
The episode had DiNozzo and McGee coming in to solve the case and finally it was revealed that Michael Hayes' best friend was the murderer.
The upcoming episode titled "Saviours" will also see the return of Jon Cryer as Dr. Taft. Dr. Taft was featured in the first episode of this season which showed Gibbs' shooting and recovery. Why is Dr. Taft back? The mystery of Gibbs' recovery and his character arc development is turning interesting as bits and parts are being revealed in every episode.
The "Saviours" episode of "NCIS" Season 13 airs on Nov. 10 on CBS.
