NeNe Leakes Talks Tough Recovery From Blood Clots
NeNe Leakes is talking about her road to recovery after undergoing a health scare.
Leakes, the 46-year-old actress and star of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, opened up about suffering from blood clots in her lungs last month. While she is feeling better, Leakes said she is not yet back to normal.
"I'm not 100 percent, but I'm trying to get there," Leakes told E! News reporter Marc Malkin. "It's been tough, but I've been pretty strong. I'm coming back."

Leakes more about her road to recovery, which involves time and medication.
"It takes about six weeks to really get back to feeling yourself, but I'm on blood thinners now," she said. "I would have to say I'm about 80 percent. I'm doing a lot better."
Leakes first tweeted that she was not feeling great last month during a Sunday episode of her reality television series and later shared a picture of herself in the hospital with over one million fans on her Twitter page.
"My arms are hurting wit these IV's #blessedtobealive," she tweeted after debuting a picture of herself in a hospital bed.
While Leakes did not share the exact reason for her hospitalization at first, she did let fans know that she was not perfectly healthy.
"Thanks 4 tuning into RHOA 2nite," Leakes wrote to her fans. "I have been very sick for the past couple of days but I wanted 2 Thank my tweetie pies."
Leakes is no stranger to hard work and when one fan suggested that she may be experiencing exhaustion, she responded "I work my butt off."
Last month, the entertainer took to Twitter and her Celeb Buzz blog to announce that she would create a clothing line for which she is currently seeking plus sized models.
"That's right, my clothing line is coming soon," Leakes tweeted. "I am looking for Curvy Girls!"
While Leakes has flourished as an actress in shows like "Glee" and the "New Normal," she has also expressed an interest in various ventures including a wedding business that she previously announced on Twitter.
"I'am totally n the wedding business now," Leakes tweeted earlier this year. "Wait until u hear abt my new business venture! (SIC)"
