Netflix to Offer UFC Content to Latin America, Mexico
Netflix users living in parts of Latin America and Mexico will now be able to enjoy Ultimate Fighting Championship content.
The streaming service recently announced its plans to begin streaming UFC videos to people living in those areas of the world.
"We've been working with the UFC for some time to bring their world leading premium content to our members in Latin America," said Jason Ropell, Netflix Vice President of Content Acquisition. "We're thrilled to be able to give our members an offering of UFC content ranging from classic fights, and popular compilations, to very recent events, some as recent as 90 days from the live event."
The UFC content that will hit Netflix for people in Latin America includes a range of fights, and shows that feature some of the sport's biggest names such as Anderson Silva, Jose Aldo, B.J. Penn, Lyoto Machida, George St. Pierre, and Uriah Faber.
UFC compilations such as "100 Greatest Moments" and "Ultimate Heavyweights" will also be added to the Netflix selection. Those are scheduled to arrive on the service on June 20.
A UFC based documentary titled "Bad Blood" will also appear on Netflix for those living in Latin America.
UFC produces over 30 live events annually that feature professional fighters engaged in mixed martial arts competition. It is currently the world's premier mixed martial arts organization with its headquarters located in Las Vegas, Nevada.
UFC programming is broadcast in over 149 countries and territories to nearly one billion homes worldwide in 20 different languages.
Netflix content streaming service is currently available on a wide range of devices including internet-ready televisions, gaming consoles such as the Xbox 360 and PS3, smartphones and tablets.
The service gives customers access to a variety of movies and shows.
