Neurosurgeon Ben Carson: I Have No Skeleton to Find
Political mudslingers looking for dirt to discredit famed neurosurgeon Dr. Benjamin Carson after his candid speech criticizing government policies and political correctness at the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington D.C. just over a week ago, are probably going to need a miracle finding any major ammunition.
Carson who issued a warning shot to his would-be attackers was responding to a question asked by an audience member during a one-hour Sean Hannity special billed Saving America on Fox News last Friday night.
"Doctor, when you say things that people don't want to hear, usually there is an immediate effort to delegitimize the speaker, were you concerned about that before you made that speech, in that forum, with that audience?" asked radio talk show host, Leslie Gold.

"I wasn't concerned because there is nothing that they can do to delegitimize me," said Carson during the show. "There is no skeleton that they can find. They are gonna try. Good luck!" he added.
"You actually said in one of your speeches live a clean life and don't lie you don't have to worry about what you said three months ago," chimed in the show's host Sean Hannity.
Carson, who is currently the head of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Md., is expected to retire from surgery in June. He plans to continue teaching assignments but noted in media interviews that his retirement opened up a lot of possibilities for the future. Since his "common sense" and "logical" critique of government policies on issues such as taxation, education and the deficit during his National Prayer breakfast speech on Feb. 7, he has been anointed the darling of conservative media and has been receiving significant presidential buzz for 2016 as his popularity continues to gain traction across America.
As of Monday several of his books such as Gifted Hands (children's edition), Think Big: Unleashing Your Potential for Excellence and his latest America the Beautiful: Rediscovering What Made This Nation Great were all ranked #1 bestsellers on Amazon.com for both hardcopy and electronic editions.
Carson has repeatedly said the only way he would run for president is if God tells him to do it. That didn't stop him during the show however, from thinking hypothetically about what the first order of business would be for him if he were to be elected President of the United States in 2016 during the Sean Hannity audience Q&A.
"It's January 2017 and you've just been inaugurated President of the United States. What would be your top legislative priorities?" asked an excited, Jamie Weinstein of The Daily Caller.
"Assuming that things are continuing the way they are now, we've got to get the economy working again because that will take care of the jobs. Productivity, rather than just mindless jobs," said Carson.
When asked by Sandra Smith of the Fox Business Network whether or not he felt America could positively rebound from its current state, Dr. Carson was hopeful. "I do think that. That's why I wrote the book (America the Beautiful) because I think that we have what it takes to do it. We're just gonna have to speak up, that's the key."
