New Batman Image Released from 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice'

A new image has been released featuring Batman as he appears in the upcoming "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."

After a long hiatus between news and other leaks from the set of Warner Bros. Pictures' DC Extended Universe film, "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," a still showing Ben Affleck in his full Caped Crusader costume has appeared online.

The image, taken by photographer Clay Enos, who is credited as the film's still photographer, shows Ben Affleck in profile, gazing at someone or something fiercely, and clenching his fists.

The image, which is shown in grayscale, also features the latest model of the Batmobile just behind the Dark Knight, who is wearing his full form-fitting modified armor, including his flowing cape.

Enos, who has previously worked on the sequel's first film, "Man of Steel" in 2013, captioned the image, "You asked for it…," and it has since gone viral from the time he posted the photo on his Instagram account Friday.

This isn't the first time the photographer has leaked images from the movie. He has previously posted photos of the Caped Crusader wearing goggles on top of his mask and other photos of Ben Affleck's character beside the Bat-Signal Klieg searchlight, as well as Henry Cavill as Superman, and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor.

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," is the second in a series of DC Extended Universe films, which will be followed by "Suicide Squad" next year, "Wonder Woman" in 2017, "Justice League Part One" also in 2017, and other solo movies featuring DC superheroes, like The Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg.

"Dawn of Justice" continues Superman's story as it left off in the first film, with Gotham City vigilante, Batman journeying to Metropolis to put down what he considers to be an alien with unchecked powers endangering mankind.

The film also stars Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter, and Gal Gadot, and is expected to premiere in theaters on March 25, 2016.
