New 'Divergent: Allegiant' trailer released, walls beyond Chicago revealed

A trailer for "Divergent: Allegiant" was finally released and fans are excited for the movie more than ever. No longer called as Part 1, the "Allegiant" trailer starts off with a quick recap from the events of the first two parts of the series, "Divergent" and "Insurgent." It also showed the evolution of the main protagonist, Tris Prior (played by Shailene Woodley), who was first seen as a meek Abnegation girl and turned into a hero.

As seen on the trailer, the plot of the movie will center on Tris along with her boyfriend Four (Theo James), brother Caleb (Ansel Elgort) and three "Dauntless" friends, Tori (Maggie Q), Christina (Zoe Kravitz) and Peter (Miles Teller). They set out to find out the secret of their post-apocalyptic Chicago home by literally climbing up the wall that surrounds the city. This basically gave fans a sneak peek to how the life beyond the wall looks like.

According to iDigital Times, the official plot description of "Allegiant" said that Tris and the gang will be brought into custody by the Bureau of Genetic Welfare. The cryptic organization is spearheaded by a man named David, who is seen in the trailer played by new cast member Jeff Daniels. Although he started off pretending as an ally, he will eventually be discovered to be evil. He also convinces Tris that she may be holding the key to save the world. The movie will also not miss tackling the romantic relationship of Tris and Four despite the trailer so packed with guns, explosions and running away from enemies.
