New Miami Dolphins Logo: Dan Marino Gives Logo Twitter Approval, as Miami Sign Vaughn Martin (PHOTO, VIDEO)
The new Dolphins logo has been unveiled as the Miami NFL team undertakes what it has called a month long roll out of its new identity.
Miami Dolphins CEO, Mike Dee, has spoken to finsiders.com saying that the team is "excited to show the rest of what we've done, including the uniforms, which we think are going to be jaw-dropping when they come out on April 25."
On the Miami Dolphins website it has confirmed that the team's primary colors will stay the same despite the vast changes in the team's branding; aqua and orange with navy and white accents will remain - which is likely to please fans.
In another move the Dolphins have confirmed that the team's helmets will take on a unique style this year, by donning white face masks. The only other team with a similar helmet is the Kansas City Chiefs.
Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Marino has taken to social media side Twitter to weigh in on all the changes. He tweeted: "Saw the new @MiamiDolphins logo. Followed the development stage & now its great to see the finished product. #NewEraNewLook #13Approved"
In other Miami Dolphins news, it has also been reported on Thursday that the team has signed defensive lineman Vaughn Martin.
Martin was reportedly already boarded for a flight from South Florida to Seattle, for the next stop on his free agency tour. However, he received a phone call from his agent telling him to quickly get off the plane as the Dolphins had made an acceptable offer, according to the Miami Herald.
He is reported to have signed a two year deal. Martin has said, "My goal is to help the team win. This is exciting," according to the Miami Herald.
